The removal of graffiti can be difficult and costly with conventional methods. Media blasting provides a non-damaging, cost-efficient alternative. Because it is a non-abrasive media, soda blasting can be used to remove graffiti on brick, sandstone, marble, and other surfaces without pitting the surface. The addition of a wet blasting nozzle provides a nearly dust-free method of cleaning. Care must be taken with setting the pressure, airflow, and media flow to prevent damage, so testing in a non-conspicuous area is needed.
CAUTION: Never try to remove graffiti with a chemical stripper. Chemicals can cause the paint to spread and to be absorbed into the surface, which prevents removal by soda blasting.
